Adult Sunday Schools
Our Adult Sunday schools will resume this Sunday, July 4th at 9:00 a.m. Come and join us for coffee fellowship before class time at 8:30 in the coffee room next to the sanctuary. Coffee, donuts, tea and juice will be served. Our children’s Sunday school (PowerKidz) will start back up this fall.
Sunday Coffee Fellowship
We will be starting the Sunday morning coffee time again on July 4th at 8:30 a.m. This will be held in the coffee room next to the sanctuary. Coffee, tea and donuts will be served.
The Art of Parenting Class

Rocky Railway VBS
The Rocky Railway VBS will be held at First Baptist Church, 620 S. 8th Ave. E., Newton, IA, on June 14 – 18, 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. If you would like to take part in our Vacation Bible School, please fill in your details in this form below and you will be automatically registered. Need to fill out a separate registration form for each child attending.
Easter Sunday
Worship with us Easter Sunday, April 4 -Children’s Easter Egg Hunt: 9:30 a.m. -Easter Worship Service: 10:00 a.m. We will have special music performed by the hand bells, choir and others. Pastor Aaron will have a special Easter message. We will have extra seating available in the balcony and the coffee room and will still be social distanced. Baptism
On Sunday, March 7 at 9:00 a.m. we will have a meeting for those interested in being baptized. We will have the Baptism service on Sunday, March 14, during the morning worship service at 10:00 a.m.
Bowling Party
FBC will have an all church bowling party on Sunday, March 7, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Cardinal Lanes in Newton. The church will be paying for everyone’s admission fees.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
We will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army on Saturday, Dec. 12, at Hy-Vee, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Drive Through Thanksgiving Dinner
We will have a Drive Through Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 7th, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., 620 S. 8th Ave. E., in our east parking lot. We will have 200 meals prepared and will be on a first come, first served basis. No phone orders will be accepted. Just drive through to pick up the meals. This is open to the community and there is no charge for the meals.

Good News!
Good News!- We will be moving back inside for our worship service on Sunday, October 4th, with the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will NOT be any coffee time, no Sunday school, Power Kids, Nursery or Children’s Church for at least the first month, until we can make provisions for everyone’s safety.
