Free Drive Through Thanksgiving Dinner

We will have a Drive Through Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 7th, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., 620 S. 8th Ave. E., in our east parking lot. We will have 200 meals prepared and will be on a first come, first served basis. No phone orders will be accepted. Just drive through to pick up the meals. This is open to the community and there is no charge for the meals.

We have moved back inside for worship!

Good News!- We have now moved back inside for our worship service, with the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will NOT be any coffee time, no Sunday school, Power Kids, Nursery or Children’s Church for at least the first month, until we can make provisions for everyone’s safety. We will have safety measures in place such as: taking everyone’s temperatures upon entry into the building; we will be sanitizing the sanctuary and restrooms; masks will be recommended to be worn during worship for singing, but may be taken off during the Pastor’s sermon; people will be seated to ensure proper social distancing is observed; the boxes for tithes and offerings will be at both entrances to the sanctuary; there will be hand sanitizing stations also at both entrances (the Narthex and the door by the offices).

Safety is Our Priority As We Move Our Services Back Inside!

We have moved back inside for our worship services and the service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
At 1st Baptist here is what we have done and are doing to keep you safe. Safety is our priority:
* We want our sanctuary to be as touch less as possible.
* Our sanctuary will be sanitized before you arrive.
* You will be seated in the pews to ensure social distancing is observed.
* The offering boxes are in 2 places for those who choose to give.
* Communion will continue to be in the pre-packaged, sanitary peel off cups.
* We have automated hand-sanitizers at each entrance.
* We will take temps of people at each entrance. The CDC states that a temp over 100.4 is the cutoff.
* Face masks are recommended, especially during singing.
* We have installed “Halo” units in all 10 of our HVAC units to help provide the best air quality possible.
* At this time, the coffee shop will not be serving refreshments.
How can you help us when joining us now for worship?
* If you don’t feel well or have health concerns, please stay home and watch on YouTube live.
* Please wash and sanitize your hands often.
* Respect those around you as being “cautious” when you arrive.
* Enjoy your experience at 1st Baptist to its fullest.
* We are planning to have Children’s Ministries and Nursery in the month of November.
